Santa on a float waving to crowd

Mandurah’s city centre and waterfront spaces are set to sparkle this Christmas, with a huge line-up of festivities, celebrations, and attractions taking over the city during the holidays.

There's something for everyone to enjoy throughout the City of Mandurah’s award-winning Mandurah Christmas program from an epic lights trail, a community pageant, live music and carols, free activities, and fun for the whole family.

Mayor Amber Kearns welcomed all locals and visitors to enjoy the wonder of Mandurah Christmas.

“Christmas time in Mandurah really brings out the best of who we are as a community, with a sense of joy and connection that spreads through the whole community,” Mayor Kearns said.

“This year’s program is about creating free, inclusive experiences for everyone. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve lived here your whole life, I want people to feel welcomed, connected, and proud of our city. A big thank you to all our partners and supporters for helping us bring the magic of Christmas to life again this year. I can’t wait to see our community come together and enjoy everything Mandurah has to offer.”

Lotterywest is again a major supporter of the Mandurah Christmas line-up, making the Christmas celebrations possible with a grant of $120,000. This year, Lotterywest is supporting the City of Mandurah’s Christmas Lights Trail, Christmas Pageant and the Carols in the Park event, featuring Australian singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell.

Rhys Williams MLA, Member for Mandurah, said: “Christmas really brings Mandurah to life. These events are all about bringing people together, and thanks to Lotterywest’s support, everyone can be part of the celebrations. From the Lights Trail to the Pageant and Carols in the Park, it’s a chance for our whole community to come together, have some fun, and show why Mandurah does Christmas better than anywhere else”.

The Mandurah Christmas program will kick off this Friday, 28 November, with the City of Mandurah Christmas Pageant spreading magic through Mandurah’s main streets (supported by Lotterywest). Starting at 6pm, more than 30 decorated floats, dancers and marching bands will make their way along Mandurah Terrace, starting and finishing at the Cooper Street/Mandurah Terrace intersection. The best viewing locations will be along Mandurah Terrace, Tuckey Street, Smart Street Mall and Eastern Foreshore grassed areas.

Also from this Friday, 28 November, the Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail (supported by Lotterywest and Tourism Western Australia) will light up the night. The state’s biggest Christmas lights trail, more than 35 sparkling installations will be spread throughout the City Centre and Mandurah Ocean Marina with some featuring audio descriptions and augmented reality experiences. The ever-popular lights trail includes favourites such as candy canes, Christmas trees, giant reindeer, stars, and a festive train, plus new additions. The Christmas Lights Trail can be enjoyed up until Sunday, 4 January 2026 (inclusive).

There’s also a range of free family friendly activities and events on offer in the City Centre throughout December including kids’ activities, live music, Christmas Markets, silent discos, outdoor movies, and photos with Santa.

On Saturday, 13 December, popular Australian singer/songwriter Conrad Sewell will bring a special performance to the Mandurah Christmas Carols in the Park event on the Western Foreshore, supported by Lotterywest. From 6pm, enjoy an evening of community celebrations including singalong carols by candlelight, family activities and a variety of food trucks, overlooking the Peel Harvey Estuary.

The community can once again welcome the new year in style with two spectacular City of Mandurah New Year’s Eve fireworks displays on 31 December, with a number of great vantage points around the City Centre. There will be fireworks at 9pm and midnight. Enjoy a special outdoor movie screening at 7pm on the Eastern Foreshore before the fireworks.
